Although rodents are a fact of life living with them can be dangerous and potentially lethal. My problem with Bridge Storage is their lack of interest in dealing with these problems. I have been a long term tenant and mentioned a number of problems regarding the facility but never received anything resembling a response attached to any action. The owner of the facility admits the problem and has seen my unit although does not employ an exterminator. Ironically after moving much of my possessions from the unit to my new unit elsewhere I was at a party and spoke to another guest. I was relaying my struggles without indentifying where I was having this problem. The guest then relayed that he had the same problems in the past. He stated he had his kayaks stored in Richmond. I then asked where and when did this happen. He stated he had mouse dropping in his unit at Bridge Storage and that it was about ten years ago. Needless to say I was surprised that this issue may have gone unresolved for a decade.

The owner and staff at Bridge Storage are pleasant however they are not effective at resolving important issues and seem to think that ignoring problems is the course of least resistance. I made it very clear to the owner that he had a serious issue that needed to be dealt with and that he needs to hire a professional exterminator. He gave no indication that he was considering hiring an exterminator to solve this problem. His solution was to offer me another unit. I declined and moved out. In the process of emptying my unit three mice ran between my legs. I talked with the weekend manager about getting some traps. He said he would get me the traps and as is the custom there was no follow up.
